Once, I studied English in the wonderful cornfields of Iowa while negotiating a series of intricate sleeping schedules and struggling to find the nearest barista.

Now, I work as a writer in the cornfield-adjacent city of Omaha, Nebraska, and I am my own barista.

Here you’ll find information about the creative work I’ve done and am doing, as well as my freelance writing portfolio. The portfolio contains articles and blog posts I’ve written on a variety of topics. I’m always excited to learn about new fields while taking on new projects.

Thank you for your time.

I am currently seeking representation for my first novel.

Midnight in a Cold Shower

While his best friends Felicia and Mary are planning their wedding, Andrew is sleeping walking through his quarter-life crisis. Literally. Andrew spends his days behind the counter of Yorke’s last video rental store, dreaming up screenplays and plans of escape from his home town, but when a series of mysterious deaths rolls through Andrew’s neighborhood, he teams up with a psychic violin prodigy, a mad scientist, and the ghost living at his local Waffle House to solve the case.

I have also been honored to have my poetry included in InkLit Magazine‘s 9th and 10th issues and in Z Publishing House‘s anthology of emerging Iowa Poets.

DryCampus was a recording studio nestled in an attic in Iowa City.

Started in 2016 as a collaboration between two artists, DryCampus was a project geared at getting more musical voices out into the world and encouraging collaboration between local artists.

DryCampus is currently on indefinite hiatus, but the music we put together over the course of two years is still available online.

You can check out all of DryCampus’s releases on its bandcamp page.

Below are various articles and blog posts that I’ve written. I write on a wide variety of topics, and I am always interested in learning about something new while working on a project.
